The True Derma Roller .25mm, .5mm, 1mm
Derma Roller therapy (also referred to as skin needling and micro-needling) is performed with 192 microneedles individually set within a small silicone wheel that effortlessly rolls over the face and penetrates the skin’s epidermis, the upper layer. With the individual needles, this derma roller is the real deal; other rollers have needles grouped together on a metal wheel like a circular saw, which only damages the skin. The derma roller repairs skin discoloration, fine lines, sun damage, and light scarring. Apply serums directly after for maximum skin absorption and benefits.
- The .25mm needle-sized roller maximizes product absorption and can be used 2-3 times weekly. It is the most suitable needle size for the areas around the eyes and the neck, therefore; avoid using longer needles on these regions.
- The .5mm needles improve skin discoloration and texture while reducing fine lines and sun damage. It also promotes cell regeneration and minimizes pores. Use the .5mm needles only once or twice a month.
- The 1mm sized-needles removes scarring and stretch marks and is more effective in the production of collagen as compared to the smaller needles. Use only once a month to start, and no more than twice a month.
Practice caution with the choice of needles. 1mm size needles can be used on cheeks, forehead, and the lower neck, but sensitive areas such as around the eyes, should be avoided. Refer to our Seeds of Knowledge Blog page for more information and tips on derma rolling.
